About Us
Radon testing and mitigation for Denver and the Denver metro, built on measuring twice.
Denver Radon Services tests and mitigates radon across Denver, CO and the surrounding counties. The work is narrow on purpose: measure what a house is doing, and where the number is too high, build a system that brings it down and prove it did. We do not sell inspections we cannot act on, and we do not sell systems to houses that do not need one.
Radon is a local problem in the most literal sense — it comes out of the ground you are standing on. Every county we work in is EPA Zone 1, the band with the highest predicted indoor levels, but the ground varies inside that. Clear Creek gravel under Wheat Ridge is coarse and permeable. Dawson Formation sandstone under Douglas County moves gas readily. The claystone under much of Denver holds it. Steeply tilted, fractured rock along the hogback through Golden and west Lakewood carries it along bedding planes. Knowing which of those is under a house changes where the suction point goes.
Estimates are free and given after we have looked at the foundation, because a radon system cannot be priced honestly from a photograph. What sets the price is what is under the slab, how many pressure fields the house has, and where the pipe can run — none of which is visible from the kerb. You approve a number before any work starts.
Fans and materials carry their manufacturer's warranty, and the term varies by product. Any workmanship guarantee beyond that is the renter's to state — it is a promise about a business, so it stays off this page until it is a real commitment with real terms rather than a marketing line.
The hardest thing to buy in this trade is proof. An installed system looks identical whether it works or not — it is a white pipe either way. That is why a post-mitigation retest is included with every system we build rather than sold separately, and why you get the before and the after reading together on paper. If the number did not come down far enough, the job is not finished.
